Does Al Gore Benefit From Global Warming? Al Gore's personal wealth

Updated on September 11, 2016

I just started thinking about people like Al Gore. Al Gore, in spite of being a former Vice President, has become famous for his Nobel Peace Prize after making the movie "An Inconvenient Truth". I saw the movie and it was well made, however, many of the facts of the movie have been and are continuing to be disputed. I'm not here to discuss those facts (although I think that the belief that global warming exists is just that, a belief). I would like to discuss Al Gore's plan for the world, how he will benefit from that plan and his own personal carbon footprint.

Al Gore would like to see Global Warming stopped. I think that is fair statement. Now, whether Global Warming is really happening is another story. How, Al Gore would like to stop Global Warming is by imposing a carbon tax upon every single man, woman and child in the world. According to Wikipedia a carbon tax is an environmental tax on emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. It is an example of a pollution tax. But articles have been written accusing Al Gore of supporting these measures because he will directly benefit from them. According to Newsbusters.org on March 1, while speaking at the TED Conference in Monterey, California, the Nobel Laureate admitted to having "a stake" in a number of green "investments" that he recommended attendees put money in rather than "sub-prime carbon assets" like "tar sands" and "shale oil." Moreover, Canadafreepress.com has also accused Al Gore along with Maurice Strong of advancing the alarm-ism of man-made global warming in order to cash in on the lucrative industry.

Not only does it appear that Al Gore is benefiting from his crusade but what really bothers me more than anything is that he personally doesn't do what he preaches. According to samuelatgilgal.wordpress.com it seems that Gore’s energy conservation does not apply to the rich, or at least not to him. In the past year, Gore’s home burned through enough electricity to power 232 average American households for a month. In fact, Gore’s Nashville home consumes 20 times more electricity than the average American household. Since this information surfaced last year, he did a “green” overhaul of his home last June. Now that his home is environmentally friendly, it uses 1,638 kWh more energy per month than it did the previous year. Gore has seen his personal wealth increase by an estimated $100, 000,000.00 ($100 million) since he began pushing global warming hysteria. This doesn't even take into account all the jet fuel he uses to fly from lecture to lecture advocating against Global Warming, no Al Gore is no Gandhi! I think I would have some semblance of respect for him if he, at the very least, did what he preached.

Finally, I wrote to Al Gore to ask him why he wasn't advocating for the Air Car that runs on compressed air in France, all I received back was a form letter. So much for St. Al!

As an update to this article the Los Angeles Times reported on the most recent purchase by Mr. and Mrs. Al Gore...an 8,875,000 dollar beach house! So much for rising tides! I simply cannot believe how utterly blatant this man is in his hypocrisy. Not only does he not believe his own lies but he has just increased his own carbon footprint by a milestone.
