The situation in Arizona is complicated. I don't know of anyone who thinks we should have open borders. At the same time the new law in Arizona is just the beginning. Is it discriminatory? Sure it is. Does it increase the power of the police state? Sure it does. Will something be done about it? Sure, something will be done. More than likely instead of“discriminating” against people of color, the powers that be,will simply require everyone to carry papers. Everyone will be guilty before proven innocent. It will be the new pre-crime unit that Tom Cruise in the Minority Report dramatized for us. That's the way it's done, or didn't you know? Fascists always begin with the outsiders and move into the center. Is there any doubt that the eventual goal is the RFID chip as Aaron Russo warned in “From Freedom to Fascism”? When the Nazi's began they started with the weak, the mentally incapacitated, the outsiders. Why reinvent the wheel when the first one worked so well?
President Obama has made diluted comments that he opposes the Arizona law, however he has expressed support over the Schumer-Graham bill that includes bio-metric identification cards...talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire. The senators wrote the following in a recent op-ed for the Washington Post:
Our plan has four pillars: requiring biometric Social Security cards to ensure that illegal workers cannot get jobs; fulfilling and strengthening our commitments on border security and interior enforcement; creating a process for admitting temporary workers; and implementing a tough but fair path to legalization for those already here.
Expect the next power play to follow on the heals of some catastrophe, not only will it be practical and logical it will be welcomed, wanted and demanded. The media will laud it and only those fringe elements will warn against it and who will pay any attention to them, after all they are all crazy. Crazy like the people who opposed Adolf Hitler were crazy...concentration camps...death camps...death panels...crazy huh.
So expect protests, expect speeches from Obama and other politicians, letters to the editor will be written and who knows maybe this particular law will be repealed. But, don't think that anything will have changed. Their next play will be worse, it will be better thought out and it will encompass everyone and then what will you do?

Thanks for the well thought out comments blackreign 2012. To tell you the truth I feel like a bystander most of the time with these news stories. Thanks, I thought it worth putting out there since it's a bit of a cock-eyed take on things. I really don't have a stance one way or another about the illegal immigration problem, but I definitely think it is being used as everything is to further the NWO. I agree with blackreign and I can understand why people would want to flee a corrupt country...and also I always wonder whether I will someday be the "illegal alien" somewhere...fleeing corruption, chaos and deprivation someday.

We actually agree on something! I believe it is the next step in the control of our citizenry. The illegal immigrants are just being used as a scape goat for a more sinister plot.
Our civil rights are being stripped away one by one. The next step beyond this will be the free travel within this country. Without papers that is.
I suggest finding a nice place that you can see yourself living out your days before too long.

Brie, one of the great freedoms of America is supposed to be the idea that we can travel from state to state without papers, without idenfication - that if we have done nothing wrong, there is no reason whatsoever to have to defend ourselves. Fear of what others can do to us has led us to think that imposing "simple" i.d.'s will make things better. It won't. Those who want to do wrong will find ways to get around the rules while those who were not doing anything wrong in the first place will have new burdens imposed upon them, and be the ones who are delayed, fined and treated wrongly simply for forgetting to carry certain papers with them at all times. Of course, as you said, placing a chip in everyone will solve that matter, in their minds. The pendelum is swinging towards a globalized world, and the idea of country is only a concept of the common man. Those standing on the pile already realize the borders don't exist anyway. Peace.

What this bill proposes is essentially "Illegal search and seizure". To be able, by law, to practice racial profiling will not stand. There are millions of "LEGAL" hispanics in this country. I ask you...how can you tell a legal hispanic from an illegal hispanic by just looking at them?
This bill reeks of racism. Now I'm not saying that all those opposed to illegal immigrants are racists. Far from it. But to make a law that in effect, only applies to one race, is nothing short of racism. Intended or not.

The only preconceived plan is that of God. What happens on Earth is a mere byproduct of what's supposed to happen anyway. The next obvious step will be open borders. By the way, apparently Noah's Ark has been found. A group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers say wooden remains they have discovered on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey are the remains of Noah's Ark. At least they are 99.9 percent certain. This group claims that carbon dating proves the relics are 4,800 years old, meaning they date to around the same time the ark was said to be afloat.
What fascinates me, however, is the timing. Many explorers have attempted to reach Noah's Ark but without success. Now this. God's timing is perfect. So this major archaeological find is a prelude to something. How fascinating this is. And to believe I'm seeing this first-hand.
Immigration is a problem. But it always has been one, we are now feeling the constraints of it based on or economical situation here in the U.S. People are told to believe that all these 'illegal's' are a drain on the economy. OK, but when you think that most illegals work here, under the premise of another SSN, pay taxes through that number and never able to claim them, for the reason they are not the only ones using that number, how can you say they are a drain? 20,000,000. That is the number of illegals not collecting taxes they pay. Substantial if you think about it?

I'm at a loss. How is it a bad thing to stop the mexican invasion? If you're mexican and don't like the laws or rules then leave. Pure and simple. But we know you won't leave because parasites like mexicans demand entitlements. Third world here we come.

I am a legal immigrant to this country and I do not support any form of "rights" to the illegals. I cam to this country 10 years ago, did everything by the book, paid my taxes from day one, even when I was making min wage. I know many legal immigrants have to wait 5-7 years for the Green Card to come bcos of backlog and have to spend thousands of dollars. So it pisses me off when the illegals are legalised and it is basically handed to them. I consider myself more liberal than conservative , though at the moment don't sound like one. I have no problem carrying a card to prove my legality, I carry one already called a drivers license. better than carrying my papers everyday.
Illegals are illegals and they should have no "right". This country has flourished by allowing immigrants, but they should come through the legal channel. Supporting the illegal immigrants is a slap on the face of who have come here through the right way. Just my 2 cents

Indeed! First you say SB1070 is discriminatory. Then you say everyone will carry papers. One cannot straddle the fence. A choice that favors the common good has to be made. It is this "feel good" emotion that is tearing this country apart. It is interesting, though, that the U.S. is collapsing inward. And it's happening in real time. But this is how it will happen. Not by attacks from without, but through decay of social order and disintegration of our laws. Then come the RFID chips. How simple it is!
I am an observer here, I can see both sides. I think that open borders are wrong and something needs to be done but on the other hand I feel for people who are trying to flee a corrupt system and Mexico is indeed corrupt. Little do they know how corrupt we are. Nevertheless, the RFID chips are coming and worse.
I do feel for the people too and that is why I do my best to give for charity for national and international relief. But feeling bad for someone does not justify taking away some one elses rights. That does not make it right. There are millions if not billions of people suffering the world over, some worst that others, do we get all of them here? And what message are we passing onto the next generation if I may. That the never stand in line, jump over others and do what is best for you, else you will be crushed. Every time you let an illegal immigrant in, you are taking away rights from an legal one. Also we have enough people already in this country who are living worse than most of the illegals. I also know of guys who worked here for years, were in the last stages of getting their permenant residence legally, when the company they worked for got bailout money and as a result had to lose their jobs and had to go back to their native country, because they could not find another job in this market. Were they stupid and should they have stayed back illegally???

Summary of Federal Immigration and Nationality Act Section 8 USC 1324
"Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both."
Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):
A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:
assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or
encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or
knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.
Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.
AZ Immigration Law SB 1070 was signed by Governor Brewer on 4/23/10.The law takes effect on July 29th. The AZ Law gives Hispanic unauthorized aliens time to leave the state otherwise the law will finally be enforced.
The federal laws requires the government to enforce the laws,presently our President,Justice dept. and Homeland security dept. are breaking the law by not enforcing the law to the fullest.

I live 7 miles from the border. I don't see a problem with undocumenteds because have Fort Huachua in between.
The law was changed from stopping anybody on the street ( which Border Patrol already does in Nogales, a border town in two countries).
All it says if arrest, make bail then before let you go check if you are undocumented. If your only crime is being without papers they LET YOU GO.
That's the current policy if ICE, they only hang on to those already wanted by the police called the "worse of the worse".
That the tsumani of people is overwhelming is shown by the fact that Border Control does triage on a small percentage with a violent criminal history.
BTW latino AZ representative voted 'pro' for the law, not 'con'.

Obama is already filing suit against Arizona. The point of my article is that it probably will be knocked down only to force everyone to have a chip...which will be far worse. Welcome to the world of people who carry a gun for self-protection. Citizens are burdened by being required to have training, ID cards (IL), permits, registration (DC), etc., while the criminals go merrily along victimizing people with none of those restrictions.
We have to stand up for ALL our rights, otherwise any and all of them will be infringed.
As for the illegal immigrant problem, well, they're criminals just by entering the country without permission, right? So do whatever we do to criminals like that. Put them in that tent jail in the desert (or maybe a Montana winter), feed them bologna or PBJ sandwiches & water, make it generally unpleasant for them. And for the companies that hire them, like big meat & produce harvesting, massive fines and jail time for the officers who allowed illegals to work there.

What I am trying to figure out is how can anyone lay claim to this land other than the Indians? To keep it all the way gutta; we are ALL immigrants. Nobody bought America. They came infected, raped, pilliaged the indians, then kicked em off into reservations (those they didn't murder that is) Then preceeded to set up a government and laws as if nobody was here when they landed. I get so baffled when people get their panties in a bunch about immigration. People are angry over a land that is not truthfully or rightfully theirs. I care not who comes over here and who doesn't. It's not affecting me as long as I can remember African Americans have been getting a raw deal and my ancestors didn't volunteer to even come to America. Not using any race card; the truth is the truth. I feel this is just one more thing to keep people distracted from the REAL agenda. Chemical trails, unnessesary floride in our drinking water, the Fema coffins no one wants to explain, the depopulation agenda, How these celebrities are raping the minds of our children and countless parents are standing idly by while it consumes their children, etc. They can't stop the bum rush so they need to sit back, shut up, and let it ride because America isn't a true soverignty anyway Nice hub will spark much debate I forsee ~hugs~
