An Expose on Voter Fraud
As you all know I write about a lot of political issues. The remedy du jour always seems to come to some rendition or another of “Throw the Bums OUT”. In fact, I may have said it myself about 80 articles back. However, it has since come to my attention that the voting ballot cannot be relied upon and when that happens what recourse is there? After all, who of you out there really knows what happens after you cast your vote? We rely upon the honest, ethical, hardworking, underpaid media for that information...and if you can't taste the sarcasm there you should move on quickly!
Here's what I know. According to Wikipedia Blackbox Voting Boxes are voting machines that do not disclose how they operate. The term was coined by David Allen, publisher, technical consultant and co-writer to author and activist Bev Harris, who popularized the term in her book with that title and runs the BlackBoxVoting.org website. Allen's formal definition is found on page 4 of the original edition of the book: "Any voting system in which the mechanisms for recording and/or tabulating the vote are hidden from the voter, and/or the mechanism lacks a tangible record of the vote cast."
What determines whether a voting system is considered “black box” is whether the public has access to the source code in the system. The source code may be made available to voting system testing authorities or state or county election officials, however if the public is kept from the source code it is still considered “black box”. Even with some access to the source code, access to the firmware, which controls the hardware, is unavailable to the public.
According to Wikipedia as of 2006 88% of all voting is now done using blackbox voting systems.
A Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act bill was proposed in 2003 by Rush D. Holt Jr. in the House of Representatives. This bill would have required a voter verified permanent record or hard-copy in electronic voting systems. This bill never became law, what a surprise!
Futhermore, Michael Connell, a republican computer specialist who was to testify against the Republic Party for voter fraud was killed in an airplane crash in December 2008 after being threatened by Karl Rove. According to You Tube (see video below), Connell founded New Media Communications, which built campaign Web sites for Bush and McCain.
He was a figure in an ongoing controversy about alleged vote flipping in Ohio in the 2004 presidential election. In October, U.S. Judge Solomon Oliver of Ohio ordered Connell to testify in a lawsuit in connection with charges that electronic voting apparatus in some Ohio districts flipped votes to Bush from Democratic nominee John Kerry.
Cliff Arnebeck, the lead attorney for the plaintiffs in the suit, alleged in an e-mail to U.S. Attorney Michael Mukasey in July that Connell and his family had been threatened in connection with Connell's possible testimony.
"I have informed court chambers and am in the process of informing the Ohio Attorney General's and US Attorney's offices in Columbus for the purpose, among other things, of seeking protection for Mr. Connell and his family from this reported attempt to intimidate a witness," Arnebeck said.
Sources close to the Ohio Corrupt Practices Act/RICO claim sent us a copy of the following letter that asks Attorney General Mukasey for protection for Michael Connell and his family who have been allegedly threatened by Karl Rove. Rove is believed to be the strategic mastermind behind the Bush 2004 re-election campaign and the possible Ohio election improprieties. The alleged threats appear to be the result of the re-opening, through the Ohio Corrupt Practices Act/RICO claim, of the stalled investigation into the 2004 Ohio Elections.
Nothing ever happened regarding Mr. Connell and no investigation was initiated.
So you tell me, we have voting machines that provide no hard-copy of ones vote, we have the vichy media that couldn't be trusted with the truth if God Himself were being interviewed, we have one dead, eye witness to voter fraud and several others who have testified that voter fraud can be done, is being done and will be done. The problem is that for every crooked politician in office you have 100 more waiting in the wings to take their place. Everyone has their price it would seem and besides all that they (the politicians) don't hold the ultimate power anyway. You should know that by now.
So, I ask, now what?

I have a 50 yr old friend who has never voted, ever, yet he complains about our political leaders and I used to tell him that until he exercises his right to vote, he should keep his mouth shut. Maybe I should eat those words?

I wasn't aware of the black box conspiracy. That hangs up there with the Electoral College which, incidentally, doesn't give a damn about the popular vote. Did Bush really win Florida? Powers far greater than a single vote determine who is President. So now what? There are only two options: The American people forcibly take command, or we sit back and take it. There's nothing in between.*

Brie why am I not surprised by the news you have reported here. It seems even when we vote it no longer matters. The Bilderbergers and Illuminati seem to be working their magic and the Liberal media is co-signing on to it.
Yeah, I'm not surprised by much any more either. I guess I felt compelled to write this, if only because I get that response to so many of my articles and know that it is no answer. What the answer is, well, that's the question...what is the answer?

The Rove threats against Connell were never corroborated but the Connell story stinks to high heaven and should be investigated immediately started with Ken Blackwell explaining why he let the Bush campaign webmaster have access to the official Ohio 2004 vote reporting network.

There are a few really good documentary movies on the subject of black box voting and how easily elections can be rigged. I'd highly recommend "Uncounted" and "Hacking Democracy". After watching these documentaries, there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever in my mind that there was electronic vote tampering in Ohio, and most likely in Florida and New Mexico as well.
As for the definition of a "black box", it's an unfortunate fact that almost all computer operating systems (including ALL versions of Windows and Mac OS') and commercial software never release their source code to the public. Since most computers that control these voting boxes run on Windows, and the vast majority of them are connected to the Internet and are automatically "updated" by Microsoft, the door for voter fraud is still wide open if someone at Microsoft decided that they wanted to rig an election. In fact, there is little to no commercial or shareware software for these operating systems that make their source code available. Therefore, the public has absolutely NO idea how this software really works, or what it might be doing behind our backs.
If you want REAL privacy and security, you will have to ditch Windows and Macs altogether. Try using one of the many versions of Linux instead. 99.9% of software for Linux is not only free, but the source code is freely available for anyone who wants to inspect it, modify it or even make changes to how it works and release it under their own brand name. Until the public starts demanding to know how the software they pay for works, we are all wide open to fraud of this type.

It's not just national elections. I'm aware of a Republican primary that was stolen by fraudulent vote counting in a small Midwestern county. Everybody "knows" it but there is no evidence. The people doing the stealing made it known that for certain types of favors their favorite candidates will become popular ... favors get done ... candidates win ... nobody can prove a thing.
I'm afraid the country has fallen, it's just that we are like ostriches hiding our heads in the sand and maybe it's just as well. Once everyone knows it could be a lot worse.

Great article Brie, particularly relevant as it looks very much like Ron Paul is being cheated out of a fair vote count in Maine.
They did it by outsourcing the monitoring of US elections to 'Experts' from the most corrupt places in the world. The top dog amongsts the monitors can't count, stating there are five continents. (I thought there were seven, but what do I know, I'm just a stupid American...)

Good information, and excellent videos! I think part of the election manipulation is also done ahead of time by persuading people who to vote for - similar to the way the media gets people to unconsciously decide to by products that they don't really want. This makes the rigging a little less of a stretch.

There is also crookedness at the polls. People who work there should be carefully chosen; still, no one can be sure. Every worker should be a "watch dog." I have seen dishonesty at the polls, and it should be reported.
At our last election, police officers were stationed alongside poll workers. I liked that.
